Will the San Francisco 49ers make the playoffs?

Me and my friend are debating this. He is saying the 49ers won’t make the playoffs. I say they are. Now, I’m not a 49ers fan (Broncos fan), so I’m not saying this because I like them (a matter of fact I still envy them for eliminating us out of the playoffs last year.) but I do think the Niners can win the West, or at least a wild card. Even though Alexander and Hasselbeck are healthy, I just am not sold on the Seahawks anymore. So what do you guys think? Thanks!

I believe we will make the playoffs… we finished up strong last year and are showing progress on both sides of the ball. Alex Smith has matured into a real NFL QB, Frank Gore is one of the best backs in the league, and we’ll have Vernon Davis all season. Also, the defense is significantly better than last year, and very fast. We’re off to a 2-0 start, and they haven’t been pretty but they’re wins nonetheless, in close games that we would’ve lost before this year.

As long as Frank Gore is healthy, I think they can make it… He can elevate that team to winning status… If he gets injured, then there is no way.

If the offense ever show up, I think they can. They don’t have many tough games this year, but if they keep playing poorly until the last 3 minutes, good teams will stomp them.
